Gimpy OU Rushing Attack
Can OU actually run the ball? I made arguments yesterday how OU could win and the list included running the football effectively. But now we hear the Sooners could be without two starters in their offensive line. Starting center, Chris Chester, is out for sure. OU could be also be without starting tackle, Branndon Braxton. (That’s right Branndon with two n’s. I checked it twice) Also, running back Adrian Peterson did not practice on Monday but is expected to play on Saturday. Last year Peterson torched us for 225 yards on 32 carries. A repeat performance would be difficult against this year’s Gene Chizik defense on a good day. A repeat performance with a make shift offensive line and a running back struggling with a high ankle sprain will be impossible.
