until Texas vs Kansas

Tornado watch

Texas loss to Iowa State (14-8, 6-5) is looking a lot less devastating these days, as the Cyclones have now reeled off six straight conference wins, including victories over the Horns, Oklahoma, and Texas Tech. The climb in Iowa State’s RPI has softened the blow to Texas own RPI and bodes well for the Horns tournament chances. Keep your eye on Iowa State down the stretch. Saturday’s game at Kansas may be a reach, but their remaining four games afterward are all winnable. Should Iowa State go 10-6 in the Big 12, not only would it help Texas tremendously, the tournament selection committee would have a tough time keeping the Cyclones out, as well.
