Gameday Breakdown: Offensive Line

This one’s not even close. Oklahoma lost a lot of talent from last year’s team, and to make matter’s worse, they’re senior anchor at center is now hurt and being replaced by a freshman. Adrian Peterson’s ankle has been part of the reason for his declining numbers this year (98 yards per game rushing, down from 163 yards per game last year), but the bigger problem is the offensive line. Oklahoma can still run the ball, but not like year’s past. Rod Wright and Larry Dibbles should create problems for the Sooners.

The opposite is true for Texas, as they sport what is arguably the nation’s best offensive line. They’re big, experienced, healthy, and on a roll. Perhaps Texas’ biggest edge.

Advantage: Significant Texas edge
